17th Toru Giga Prague Kendo Cup & Kendo Seminar & Examinations is over!

It took place in Prague from 11th to 14th September 2008.

We would like to thak all the senseis, all the participants and all the supporters! It was a hard time for everybody, but we hope that everybody enjoyed it. We hope, that you will come again next year!

Seminar

The seminar lasted for 2 days and it was led by Yamanaka sensei (Hanshi 8th Dan) and he was assisted by other senseis. Besides seminar, there was also jigeiko after the tournament and after examinations

Tournament

There were about 70 participants from 7 countries. Here are the results:

Ladies tournament

1st place: Anna Betley (POL)
2nd place: Denisa Dohányosová (CZE)
3rd place: Jaroslava Stejskalová (CZE) & Jana Ziegelheimová (CZE)

Fighting Spirit: Karolína Luchesi (CZE)

Men tournament

1st place: Jan Cílek (CZE)
2nd place: Rafal Jaśtak (POL)
3rd place: Bálint Bress (HUN) & Martin Fritz (CZE)

Fighting Spirit: Martin Kiosew (IRL)

Examinations

Examinations from 1st kyu up to 3rd dan were held on Sunday. Congratulations to all who passed!
